Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 June 2026
Last updated: 7 July 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Codelivly ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate, current information when registering. You may register with an email address and password or sign in with Google, GitHub, or LinkedIn.
- One person per account unless you are using an organisation seat licence.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and all activity under your account.
- Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Codelivly offers free and paid tiers (including Pro and Organisation plans). Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe (card) or PayPal, whichever you select at checkout, on a monthly or annual basis. Prices are shown on our pricing page before purchase.
- Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in Settings → Subscription (or via PayPal for PayPal-billed plans).
- Cancellation: You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
- Refunds: Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. Contact [email protected] for billing disputes within 14 days of charge.
- Price changes: We may change prices with reasonable notice; changes apply to subsequent billing cycles.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable export or sanctions laws.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content, or attempt to reverse engineer the Platform.
- Resell, redistribute, or publicly share course materials, practice environments, or credentials except as expressly permitted.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, other users' accounts, or third-party networks.
- Use security training techniques only on systems you own or are explicitly authorised to test.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. Intellectual property
Codelivly and its licensors own the Platform, courses, interactive content, branding, software, and documentation. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access content for personal or organisation-internal learning during an active subscription.
You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. profile data, forum posts). You grant us a licence to host and display that content as needed to operate the Platform.
6. Certificates
Certificates issued by Codelivly attest to completion of specified learning paths or assessments on the Platform. Certificates may be verified publicly at /verify/[code]. We may revoke a certificate if it was issued in error, obtained through fraud, or if these Terms were materially breached. Revoked certificates will show as invalid on the verification page.
7. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided for educational purposes. Content does not constitute professional legal, compliance, or security advice. Codelivly certificates are issued by Codelivly and are not affiliated with third-party certification bodies unless explicitly stated.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Codelivly shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) £100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence where applicable.
