Many people idealize the profession of an ethical hacker. Yes, I don’t argue, you need to know a lot, and the threshold for entering the specialty is high, although for some it is a way of life (for example, for me). I love this, and I still don’t know much, but the interest does not fade.
At the initial stage, you will not be able to have even basic skills in hacking, because you do not have sufficient knowledge, and you need to understand and accept this.
Your task is to be passionate and interested in the technology stack so as not to turn into a script kiddie. If you have an interest and desire to learn information, then everything is fine and will be fine.
If you don’t know English, and this is important, you will improve over time and in the process of studying, no problem. The same is true with programming, and some specialists do not know programming languages, but this does not prevent them from being skillful dudes in their field.
If you don’t know something, for example, programming, that’s also not a problem. Sit down at your computer, turn on a programming course, or open a book, and go ahead.
You need to learn to search for information from this large stream. The key skill of a pentester is the ability to use a search engine. It's impossible to remember everything, and that's a fact. You don’t even have to strive for it, you won’t be able to do it. Humanity has come up with so many technologies that you can’t keep it all in your head.
Take notes of what you have learned or learned. Some commands in the console to install or configure something. Links to finds on the Internet. Road maps, infographics, etc. It's also useful to save. This is a normal workflow in our difficult business.
All this is formed into a work environment, and a properly organized workspace will serve you as a good assistant in solving everyday problems.
With this short note, I encourage beginners not to give up on the initial path of becoming an ethical hacker, and to work on their daily development in terms of efficiency.
Happy Hacking!
